pricing

How much do you charge for a session?

Assessment and treatment are charged at $150/hour.  15 minutes of a treatment hour are dedicated to recording notes or parent contact.  These rates are in line with the average range reported by the Alberta College of Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

 

What else do you charge for?

​

Report writing and letters are charged at $135/hour and prorated for the amount of time that it takes to write them. 

 

Travel is charged by distance from our office in the Southwest at a rate of .59 cents/kilometer.

Does my insurance cover visits?

​

Most health insurance providers do cover speech-language services for registered speech-language pathologists.  It is a good idea to check with your provider for details on your specific coverage.

How do you bill for services provided?

​

Billing occurs monthly and payments can be made by cheque or e-transfer.  Direct billing is not currently possible.

Where do sessions take place?

​

Services can be provided at your home.   A home office is also available.  For clients who prefer a community setting, we can arrange to meet at a coffee shop or library.

Do you provide teletherapy?

​

Yes, we do provide teletherapy (SLP services over the internet) when requested.  Please enquire if this may be a suitable mode of service delivery for you.
